Comments: | Introduced to make wildlife more familiar to European colonizers (Ref. 48787). Established in Tasmania, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia and Western Australia. May have caused the decline of the Tasmanian mountain shrimp Anaspides tasmaniae, and has eliminated or reduced several Plecoptera and Trichoptera in Victorian streams (Ref. 12257).
